EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Emergency Assistance

We provide Pierce County residents with emergency financial assistance for rent, utilities, and/or food. We directly assist the homeless and those on the verge of homelessness, those with utilities shut-off notices, or those who suffer from hunger.

If you currently have a 3-day notice for eviction, an eviction notice, a utilities shut off notice, or are in an emergency circumstance that necessitates financial assistance, we ask that you fill out an application and set an appointment with our Community Labor Liaison.

Eligibility Criteria

All applications are screened based on funding availability. Priority is given to Union members who are unable to work due to injury, illness, lock out, strike, or lay-off; or to those facing hardship due to unforeseen circumstances such as fire, flood, or medical conditions.

In order to qualify for assistance the client must have an immediate need that cannot be met adequately by any other means available. Client must also produce the qualifying documents in relation to their current need.

*Assistance is limited to once every 12 months, for a maximum of two years.
