EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE​

We provide Pierce County residents with emergency financial assistance for rent, utilities, and/or food. We directly assist the homeless and those on the verge of homelessness, those with utilities shut-off notices, or those who suffer from hunger.
WEEKEND MEALS​
​
We are seeking funding to start a weekend meal program at Sheridan Elementary school in Tacoma, WA. If you would like to get involved please e-mail our Community Labor Liaison at amanda@pcclc.org.
SCHOLARSHIPS

Every year we host the Jerry Beckendorf Bowling Tournament to raise funds for our Community Services Scholarship. The scholarship goes to graduating students in Pierce County that have a parent who is a member of a Union. Click "Learn More" for a link to the application.
WHEELCHAIR RAMPS​
Many individuals struggle with access into and out of their home due to being in a wheelchair. We had been running a program to build wheelchair ramps for individuals in need in Pierce County.
HOLIDAY ASSISTANCE​
​
Our Holiday Assistance program provides giftcards to families who are facing financial emergency in order to purchase food and gifts for the holiday season. We seek applications from Unions who know of families that are in need.
PEANUT BUTTER DRIVE
​
We kick off our Peanut Butter Drive every January! Through May we collect as many jars of peanut butter as we can and donate it to the Emergency Food Network. 2015 has been our greatest year so far - we collected over 13,000 pounds of peanut butter.
